"When my husband and I found out many years ago that we were unable to have our own children we began looking into other ways we could make our dream of becoming parents come true. We researched everything from private agency adoptions to international adoptions and then we came across some information that told th stories of people who have been foster to adopt parents. The more we read into what it entails to foster to adopt and the more we learned about the many children who are in need of a loving and patient home, the more we knew it was the right step for us. Here are these beautiful children who have not been treated fairly in life and here we are, a couple willing and able to show them that they can trust and be loved and feel safe. We can't say it was easy helping our son to heal, but the more he healed, th emore we learned what a hero he truly is and we find ourselves looking up to his strength and ability to overcome what he has. We are now in the beginning stages of fostering to adopt again and we feel blessed to be able to give our new children what all children deserve to have: love, patience, guidance and someone to be behind them cheering them on in life, helping them to believe in who they are and all the wonderful things they can do! We know if more people gave fostering to adopt a chance, they too would see what a positive and uplifting additio nit is to their lives. If given the chance to have our own children or foster to adopt, we both would choose to foster to adopt again. There are no words needed when you look at your child and they smile with their eyes and their hearts."
